Stretch Further: raportti ja ajatuksia eräästä identiteetistä

Kansainvälinen tanssin kentän ammattilaistapahtuma Stretch Further järjestettiin Oulussa syyskuun alkupuoliskolla. Tanssitaiteilija Tiina Santavuo kirjoitti kokemuksistaan runollisen yhteenvedon.

Where I am from?
Where do I belong?

The year I was born,
The Comet named Halley passed our planet
I think I am its heir
There was also Chernobyl
Anyways,
I contain radiation,
atomic or planetary

Poet, explorer
– I wish
Maker
– That’s it

It is so hard to say dancer
Although I have danced always
Never stopped
My hips don’t lie
They hurts sometimes
Times flies
Am I having fun?
40 rounds around the sun
Never have been in La la land

And I am a mother
– If it’s something that’s valid in this story where I am the main character
And the main scene is
Pori
–so random–
My grandparents were not from here
They just fell in love
And found the love in this hopeless place
– In Pori (!?)

And now I am in Pori
Returnee, I say,
After so many addresses
I returned
And made something so small/big
That now I can’t leave
Pori, oh Pori
My home
My grave
My eternity

”Death”, someone mentioned lightly
I almost cried:
”My grandmother just died”
But I am still here
Her burial is next week

And I am aging
Moving
Passing
Passing by
Bye bye
Pathways
No way
Way back
We go
My home
Homesick
Homecoming
Come on
I am not a tourist, I live here!
(in my body, at least)
– Or, am I even here?
(in my body, at least?)

I am archive,
archiving this:
”Why did I make this (and everything) so much about myself?”
